The best mix of “To Be In Love” was released in 1999 (the original was released in 1997). This track has been in my collection ever since it was released, and in my opinion every house lover should have a copy of it in their crates. I saw this video today in a Facebook post and to me this record sounds better than most of the songs on the hit lists today!
If, for some reason, you have never heard about Masters At Work or any of their side projects I suggest you check them out! “Little” Louie Vega and Kenny “Dope” Gonzales has been making, mixing and remixing music as M.A.W. since the early 1990s. A fun fact about Masters At Work is that the name was given to them by Todd Terry. He released some tracks using this name in the 80s.
As an avid record collector I have a love/hate relationship to Spotify, so to me it’s quite OK that most Masters At Work tracks are not on that platform. You can find them on Traxxsorurce, iTunes and probably other music sites, and of course you can buy M.A.W. records at Discogs!
Got a little inspired now! I think I will head on over to Discogs and see if I can get my hands on a promo version of this classic track, or some other M.A.W. gems!
